Second Lieutenant John Roswell Duggan died 16th August 1915, in Gallipoli, on the same day as his brother,
Captain G.G. Duggan.

Lieutenant J. R. Duggan, 5th Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, was killed in action at Gallipoli on August 16th last, the same day on which his elder brother, Captain Duggan, received the wounds from the effects of which he died. He was the youngest son of Mr. J. R. Duggan, Provincial Bank, College Street, who has thus lost two sons in the service of their country. Two other sons are also on active service. Lieut. J. R. Duggan was educated at the High School and subsequently at Trinity College, where he entered the Medical School. On the outbreak of the war he at once offered his services and was gazetted to the 5th Batt. Royal Irish Regiment. 5th Batt. Royal Irish Regiment
